NEWS: Tribute to Engels

A huge mural and a blue plaque are to mark a spot in Manchester that was once home to Friedrich Engels.

Volunteers working on a patch of derelict land in Moss Side were amazed to discover one of the founding fathers of communism had lived there during his time in the city.

They now plan the huge artwork and plaque to mark the site of his home from 1850-1859
