CP Call: ‘Act To Reduce Tension’

Communist Party of Britain International Secretary John Foster says, 

“The assassination of General Qassem Soleimani, ordered by the     President of the United States, represents an extremely grave threat to world peace. We call on the British government to condemn it and to use its position on the UN Security Council to press for an immediate action to reduce tensions. 

This criminal and irresponsible act underlines the dangers posed by Britain’s membership of the nuclear-armed NATO alliance by which this country is obliged to respond if the USA is itself attacked.”
