Standing TOGETHER for Manchester

We are proud of our city and our people. We declare that Manchester is a special place – vibrant, tolerant and friendly. We stand together against hatred, intolerance and violence.

We celebrate our common heritage and understand how our city has gained from our diversity. We welcome people who come in peace from around the world, regardless of race, culture, religion, gender and sexual orientation. We welcome people of all backgrounds who have made Manchester a world leader in education, enterprise, culture, entertainment, science and sport.

We state simply: we love Manchester and the people who make it so special.

We pledge to do everything we can to oppose those who bring hatred to our streets and division to our communities. We state that an attack on Manchester people is an attack on all our communities.

We stand against all hate crime but we also know that the best way to defeat hate is to promote HOPE. To promote HOPE in our schools, on our streets and in our communities.

We stand together for Manchester under the banner of HOPE not hate.
