21st Century Marxism

The Festival of 21st Century Marxism, taking place on the 26-27 November, is gearing up to be the biggest gathering of communist party members, supporters and allies in a generation.

It brings together leading speakers from the world communist movement: Modorow [Germany], Nzimande [South Africa], McCartan [Ireland], Prakash Karat [India], Cheng Endu [China], Yuri Yemelianov [Russia] and Shomali [Iran], in rallies and discussion events.
They join: community, anti racist and anti fascist, peace and anti EU activists along with union organisers, campaigners for public services and CP supporters from across Britain, in 43 sessions, three rallies, a film show, seminars and debates. The initial programme is now available.

Throughout the weekend there is a Back 2 Basics series of sessions aimed at those new to class politics and the workers' movement. Why not bring along someone who is interested in socialism?

All for £12 a day [£20 for both] with concession rates. You can get 20% discount if you book before Monday 5pm using paypal on the Festival web pages or by cheque. Advance booking is strongly advised as some sessions have limits on the numbers who can attend.

Times, venue, speaker biographies, 'how to get there' and 'best value places to stay' information are all available at the Festival web pages. Keep checking back as we will add to these pages in the coming two weeks.

The fantastic venue - a hundred year old centre of east end working class culture and education - has recently had a £1.5 million refit taking it to the highest standard of conference facility in the historic Spitalifields area of the capital. We look forward to seeing you!
