EVENT: Call Mr Robeson

On Thursday, 27th January, the Lowry Theatre will be hosting a play about the life of famous American political activist, actor and singer, Paul Robeson. Robeson, who was persecuted in his home country for speaking in support of the Soviet Union during the infamous and reactionary McCarthyist era, was renowned for his international solidarity towards the world's most exploited people, and left a positive legacy wherever he went, including with miners in South Wales, as well as the people of Manchester.
