We now know more of the details of the Coalition Governments programme of savage cuts in public expenditure. The NW had already borne the brunt of the cuts in the emergency budget and the full programme puts many thousands of jobs in the public andprivate sectors at risk and threatens to dismantle essential services.
We have a responsibility to mount the broadest campaign of opposition to these damaging cuts and for the positive trade union alternative.
The NW TUC is organising this ‘All Together’ briefing to help trades council members to take part in the ‘All Together’ campaign and campaign against the cuts.
- The briefing will provide participants with an opportunity to;
- Get an update national and regional campaign activity
- Assist in the lobbying of the target group of MPs
- Learn about how to develop effective campaign alliances
- Improve communication with members, workers and the wider community
- Use the campaign to build stronger unions
To book a place, e mail kstevens@tuc.org.uk ; with details trades council, position held and any access requirements.
