New pamphlet, launch meeting

In May, the CP and YCL jointly hosted a day school for mainly young union organisers in casualised, precarious employment. The School agreed to produce a pamphlet to recount the experiences of participants and describe how they thought unions, and jobs, could be changed. On 10 September the pamphlet 'We want REAL jobs' will be launched, backed up with social media advertising. On that day, we urge you to post and tweet about the pamphlet and meeting.  Details of both can be found at www.facebook.com/CPBritain.

Hosted by the Manchester communists, the meeting will be held Monday 10 September 6-7.30pm, Manchester Friends’ Meeting House, 6 Mount Street, Manchester M2 5NS, Room F13. Robert Griffiths will open the discussion. The meeting is open to all but there’s a special invite to get delegates and observers along.

Ordering 'We want REAL jobs'

Individual orders can be made from https://communist-party.org.uk/realjobs.html from 10 September.
Co-author Phil Katz anticipates a strong reception to the pamphlet. He says, “So many now work in the casualised sector that virtually no family in Britain is untouched by it. As such, the pamphlet cuts across employment sectors and generations, to inform and inspire readers. We urge you to think who you know could benefit from reading it and put a copy in their hands."
