N30 Strikes in Greater Manchester

This Wednesday, up to 3 millions public sector workers will stage a one day strike over changes to their pension schemes. These attacks represent an all out assault on the living standards of working class people, who are being made to pay for a crisis of the capitalist system, that is, a crisis of over production. This will be the biggest demonstration by the trade union movement in a lifetime, and the Communist Party (CP) will be there to support it. Party members will be helping to distribute thousands of free copies of the Morning Star newspaper, the daily paper of the left and the worlds only socialist English language newspaper. If you would like to help distribute the paper on the day, please contact Jason Cook to find out about the arrangements at member@jcook87.wanadoo.co.uk.

There are a number of website that are collating information about the days activities. Manchester Trades Council has a list of picket lines in the city, whist if you click here, you can find a list of pickets and demonstrations in your locality on an interactive map.
