Directions: Takes about 30mins from Manchester Piccadilly.

a) By bus: catch 85 bus (runs every 20 mins on hour, 20 past & 20 to) from Stop M at Picadilly Gardens to Barlow Moor Rd/Wilbraham Rd junction in centre of Chorlton.

Walk from bus stop to above cross-roads and take Barlow Moor Road (B5217) towards Didsbury/Stockport and, at first traffic lights, turn right up High Lane. The Irish Club is on your left. This will take about 8 mins and is the simplest way but, with an A-Z in hand, a shorter and quicker way (5 mins) can be followed cutting though smaller roads.

b) By Metrolink: Catch the Bury-Manchester-Altrincham line to Stretford Station. Walk out of station and, without crossing the road, catch the number 23 bus toward Didsbury and Stockport; this runs half-hourly at 5 to and 25 past the hour. After about 6 mins, in the centre of Chorlton the bus turns down Barlow Moor Road. Get off opposite Chorlton bus station (quite small!), retrace bus route for short distance to traffic lights and turn left up High Lane and Irish Club on left. This takes about 3 mins from the bus stop.

To walk from Stretford Station would take (I guess) about 20 mins and would approach High Lane from the opposite end where it branch off right from the main Stretford-Chorlton road at traffic lights.

c) Car: there is a large car-park behind the Irish Club from which the Club is entered.
